WITHIN THE UIBC COMMISSION "VOCATIONAL TRAINING", MS. MARI PAZ VILLALBA PRESENTED THE PROJECT
Q-BAKE - QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE EUROPEAN BAKERY INDUSTRY
Q-BAKE IS BEING DEVELOPPED AS PART OF THE EU EDUCATION PROGRAMME "LEONARDO DA VINCI"
15th September 2013
Right after the Constitution meetings of the four UIBC Working Commissions, the UIB/UIPCG Congress in Granada reserved a place on the agenda for the presentation of the Q-Bake project (Qualifications for the European Bakery Industry), which is part of the Leonardo da Vinci programme for the development of innovation. It aims to promoting a training program regarding baking technologies for employees of our sector.
The presentation was given by Mari Paz Villalba, Coordinator of the project involving institutions from four different countries (Great Britain, Greece, Romania and Spain), among others the Spanish Bakery Association CEOPAN. According to Villalba, "Consumers are increasingly demanding quality products with specific properties, therefore bakers must periodically and continuously be trained and adapt to the needs and tastes of the customers." She also hopes that the project, which "aims to improve the skills of the bakers in new technologies" will spread to be launched in other countries.
Mari Paz Villalba from AINIA is the coordinator of Q-BAKE.
Q-BAKE and its benefits were presented during the UIB/UIPCG Congress in Granada (Spain).
