Ireland returns to UIB

On 30 and 31 January 2012, the UIB President and Secretary-General met in Dublin with the executive committee of the Flour Confectionery and Bakers Association (FCBA) of Ireland. In addition, Mr. Christian Vabret from France as well as Mr. Andrzej Szydlowski and Mr. Henryk Piesiewic from Poland participated in the meeting which covered in depth current issues like the salt content in bread. The assistants also had the opportunity to visit the bakery McCloskey’s in Drogheda, close to the Irish Capital.

The UIB is very glad that the Irish Federation confirmed their decision to return once again to being an active member of the UIB from this year 2012 on.
